Epilepsy Action aims to improve the quality of life and promote the interests of people living with epilepsy.
Epilepsy Action services and information include:
- free telephone and email helpline service
- resources for people with epilepsy, their families, carers and professionals
- free information packs for schools and settings
- a range of information resources including DVDs, books, magazines, booklets and factsheets
- a professional membership scheme to assist education, health and social care staff
- lesson ideas and resources to help children and young people understand epilepsy
- free training sessions for schools and settings
- regional and national conferences, training sessions and a consultancy service.
Epilepsy Action campaigns to:
- improve the understanding of epilepsy in schools
- give people with epilepsy a fair chance of finding and keeping a job
- raise standards of care through contact with doctors, nurses, social workers, government and other organisations
- promote equality of access to quality care.
